Walking Safari / Optional Full Day Game Drive

AM or PM Walking Safari or Optional Full Day Game Drive /Walking Safari in the Zambezi National Park.

Prices EXCLUDE USD$15.00 per person per day National Park Fees. These are payable directly to National Parks upon entrance.

You will be accompanied by one of our Senior Professional Guides as well as a Junior Guide.

Enter the upper Zambezi National Park and start with a two and a half hour walking Safari, following game trails in search of the many species of animals and birds that inhabit this stunning area of the Zambezi River. Walking safaris will depend on what you see on the ground in the morning/afternoon either following and tracking game of interest or walking from designated area to area depending on the time of the year.

Lunch will be served on the banks of the Zambezi River.

The afternoon will consist of driving through to Chamabonda Vlei stopping at any sightings that may be of interest. Chamabonda Vlei has lookout points as well as waterholes where a variety of game can be observed coming down to drink.

Bird life in the Chamabonda Vlei is well renowned and a must for all birders.
Afternoon refreshments and sundowners will be served.

What to Wear

• Comfortable attire that provides sun protection. Hats, Warm clothing in winter (April to August). (No Bright Colours)
• Sunscreen and lip balm (guides will have dry bag for this)
• Sturdy shoes / hiking boots. Your shoes must be securely fitted to your feet (i.e. no flip-flops).
• Bring as little as possible!

Duration 06:30am – 16:30pm hrs including transfer times. Daily, all year round, Weather permitting

Guests or Spectators:  No spectators allowed
Requirements

Ages: Minimum age is 16. ( Unless prior arrangements have been made with RWS management). 

Fitness Level: Some form of fitness is required. It can get hot and the terrain is undulating.

Experience Level: No Experience Required.
